Whether behind the scenes or on the front line, each organiser helps in their own way to make Fastaval something special. Otto&#8217;s medal of merit is an honorary award that aims to recognise the work of the organisers and highlight those who have made a special effort in their field, spread good cheer and been a role model for Fastaval&#8217;s sustainable community of organisers. On Sunday during Fastaval, the main organising group will review all nominations and select one winner and a number of honourable mentions. The award will be officially presented during the Otto Show on Sunday evening, where the recipients will be recognised for their significant contributions to Fastaval.  <\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1039\"><strong data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1037\">The motivation behind the award<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1502\">Otto&#8217;s medal of merit is inspired by The golden plunger, which honours participants who go the extra mile. With this award, the main organising group wishes to create a similar recognition for the organisers who ensure that Fastaval runs smoothly.
