Many designers learn a lot in the process. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You&#8217;ll receive ongoing deadlines and support to finish the design on time, and a test day will be organized just for Fastaval games.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At Fastaval itself, you&#8217;ll have the pleasure of watching excited participants play your game.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If your game excels in one of the board game categories, you can also be honored with one of the Golden Ottos. We receive many more pitches than we can include, so you need to highlight exactly what makes your game stand out from the crowd. <\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What experience do you want to give the players? Try to describe the interesting choices, dilemmas and emotions that you want your players to experience. <\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How far along are you in development? How much playtesting have you done? It will often benefit your pitch if you have ensured that the core mechanics of your concept actually work as intended<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;background-color: var( --e-global-color-0bb0ba0 )\">.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><strong>September<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>As soon as we&#8217;ve received all the pitches, we&#8217;ll start assessing and selecting the games we want to include. A few weeks after the deadline, we will contact you to let you know if your game has been selected for this year&#8217;s field. If your game is selected, we will contact you to discuss the further process leading up to Easter and Fastaval. You will also be invited to join our Facebook group for all designers of the year, where there are plenty of opportunities for ongoing feedback and advice.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>October:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By October at the latest, we expect your game to have gone through an end-to-end playthrough and a first review of the rules, and that you have received some feedback.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is where the cover story and a front page for your game should be in place<\/p>\n<p><strong>February:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rules need to be finalized so that the last month and a half can be spent on final testing and production of the physical games<\/p>\n<p><strong>March:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here you need to build\/produce a number of copies of your Fastaval game. Typically around 3-5 copies. Every year we receive somewhere between 50-120 pitches, and we only have room for around 20-24 games in the Fastaval program. In the end, we often have to reject many good pitches to ensure a wide selection.  <\/p><p>Unfortunately, we are not able to give a reasoned rejection to everyone who receives a rejection. He is especially fond of asymmetric board games such as Root and Cosmic Encounter, as well as strategic push-your-luck games like Heat and The Quacks of Quedlinburg. Kasper is also a dedicated roleplayer, and his love of great storytelling and imaginative themes is reflected in the games he enjoys.   \n<br> <br>Kasper is currently in his second year of studying Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine at Aarhus University.
