RoboWars is Fastaval’s big evening event – a roleplay that unites the con across roleplayers, boardgamers, and anyone who loves chaos and combat robots. Inspired by RoboRally 4-6 teams compete in a tournament where they build their own cardboard robot and guide it through an obstacle course.

Each robot needs to be big enough so that a player can fit inside it, blindfolded. The team captain directs the robot via walkie-talkie while the rest of the team focus on tactics, hype, creative improvements and fast repairs in the pit. The course is filled with fantastic robots, Nerf bullets, sabotage, fair play, fan favorites, and mayhem.

The tournament is played like a grand sports event: presenter, commentators, audience, scoreboard – and attitude. Each night Fastaval convenes to cheer, laugh, and watch the drama on the field. During the day teams can improve their robot, enlist fans, plan strategies, and gain valuable upgrades.

Everything culminates Saturday at the grand finale, where just one team walks away with honor, the tournament trophy, and a roaring cheer.
