Have you ever wanted to write a scenario for Fastaval? If you have also dreamed of making it through the eye of the needle, the Synopsis Academy is for you. Here you will gain a wealth of knowledge about Fastaval, scenario writing, and the writing community.

Målet er at hjælpe dig med at komme i gang med at skabe en gennemtænkt synopsis, som du kan fortsætte med at arbejde på efter dette års Fastaval og indsende til Fastaval 2026.

The Synopsis Academy is still a relatively new concept, and we hope that many of you will support it and us!

What can you expect?

  • A head start for next year’s Fastaval: When you leave SynopseAkademiet, you will have a first draft of a synopsis for your scenario idea, a really good idea of what is expected of writers at Fastaval, lots of good advice, and people to contact if you have any questions later on. We also try to find synopsis sparring partners for all participants who want to continue working on their synopsis ahead of Fastaval.
  • If you win the Golden Egg in 2026 and submit your synopsis in the same year, you are guaranteed a place in the 2027 screenplay field. This gives you a unique advantage if you dream of being a writer at Fastaval.
  • An exciting learning environment: You will receive support and encouragement to work on your project. We have teamed up with several of the talented and established scenario writers at Fastaval, who will provide feedback on your scenario ideas. In addition, there will be several exciting presentations and opportunities to brainstorm with the other participants.
  • A creative community: We will be allocated a permanent room so that it is always possible to sit down with some of the other participants and bounce ideas around. Even before Fastaval, we will establish an online community so that you can continue to benefit from each other’s valuable input after Fastaval.
  • Exciting constraints: Synopsis Academy is also a competition, and it starts with you being given your constraints: elements that should both inspire and be incorporated into your scenario idea. These could be things like: “A maze must be included” or “The color red.” How you interpret these constraints and incorporate them into your synopsis is entirely up to you! The current challenges for this year will, of course, remain secret until the Academy begins, when we meet at Fastaval 2026!

Feedback and evaluation: At the end of the Academy, we will gather to discuss the synopses and the process, and we will provide you with our final tips and advice for the synopsis, and perhaps a future scenario, going forward. On Sunday at the Ottofest, the Golden Egg will be awarded from the stage.

Are you ready to get closer to your dream of writing your first scenario for Fastaval? Then sign up now – we look forward to seeing you!

NOTE: There is both a minimum and a maximum number of places available. This means that if we do not receive enough confirmed registrations, the academy will not take place this year, and if too many people register, we will give priority to participants who have written few or no screenplays.

Requirements for participants: Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirming your intention to participate. This is due to a high dropout rate last year, and we therefore want to ensure that we reach the minimum number of participants.

Other participation at Fastaval: During the scheduled time for the Synopsis Academy, you will not be scheduled for other activities.
