Almost everything in Trianglia is a triangle– except wheels because, well, that would be weird of course! The town board wants to popularize a local trend called a Trisaic, a mosaic of beautiful magnetic triangles. In an effort to drive tourism to the angular town, they are recruiting renowned local artists such as yourself to create one to display in the Town Square… err, I mean Triangle.

Presentation

  • Duration: 45-75 minutes
  • Player count: 2-4
  • Language: English

In Trisaic, you will draft magnetic triangle tiles and build your Trisaic to match the patterns on collected Suggestion Cards. The magnetic tiles are for functionality and tactility, allowing you to create triominoes that satisfyingly click into place and prevent your progress from being disturbed. You are serious artists after all!

Your turn will consist of the following simple actions:

1) Pick one Action Card that details what you can do on your turn. The Action Card will list how many tiles you may take and whether or not you can take a Suggestion Card.

2) Select the number of tiles listed on the Action Card from the Town Square (Triangle) and place that grouping on your personal board, making sure that at least one of the tiles is played touching sides or corners with another already placed.. Your board will become your Trisaic at the end of the game!

3) Take a card from one side of the board that touches one of the tiles you drafted.

The game ends when one player covers all 25 spaces of their personal Trisaic board after all players take equal turns. You’ll score for matching patterns on Suggestion Cards, for matching the colors on the three sides of your board and for collected Action Cards, losing points for penalty tokens collected throughout the game. The highest score wins!

Trisaic is color blind friendly, and will have accessible symbols on cards and pieces so that players can match by either symbols or colors, with a focus on engaging experiences for all with an emphasis on strategic pattern matching.

If you like magnets, puzzles and board games, you’ll want to see if you have what it takes to make the most appealing mosaic of triangles in Trisaic!

About the designer

I am a board game designer from Syracuse, Nebraska in the United States. I am an Ion Award and Boston Festival of Indie Games award winner, a 19-time finalist in national and international board game design competitions and a 13-time semi-finalist in 14 different competitions worldwide. My first physical game will be published in 2026.

I really love board games and I love making them even more! My dream is for my designs to be a part of board game nights all over the world, bringing people together at a table where everyone is welcome. I hope to see my games on a store shelf someday alongside all of the ones that have inspired me. Many of my best memories are around a table with friends and family playing games. I hope to be able to create those kinds of memories for others through my own designs!
