Fastaval is a big place with a lot of people. Participants come from all over the country, across age groups, education and gender. Some come to play a lot of role-playing games, others magic cards and some come primarily to hang out with their friends and have a vacation. But no matter who you are and why you’re at Fastaval, it’s important that you feel safe and secure – both as a participant and organizer

Below you can read about the various initiatives to make Fastaval better able to handle conflicts and personal issues. You can find out who to contact if you have a concern or problem that you would like us to address. As well as who is available to help you before, during and after Fastaval.

NOTE! Fastaval’s main organizers work on the principle that they only respond to direct inquiries. This can be by email, via the Safety Hosts or by contacting a main organizer in person. They do not act on rumors or information they receive on social media. That’s why it’s extra important that you contact them if you feel unsafe at Fastaval.

Safety hosts

The Safety Hosts are an independent group of organizers who are available throughout Fastaval for a chat and a cup of coffee if you as a participant need it – have experienced something unpleasant or are emotionally overwhelmed.

Attendance policy

The Community Policy describes the values and guidelines that form the foundation of our community. It sets the framework for good behavior and responsible interaction and explains how we handle any breaches of the policy.

Safemail

If you have an inquiry about an unsafe experience you have had, a personal conflict or experienced a breach of the attendance policy, you can contact the main organizers on the safe-mail.
