Alea is the organisation behind Fastaval, and its goal is to organise the best Fastaval possible. Many people don't realise it, but Alea plays a major role in organising and running Fastaval year after year. While the General and the main organisers concentrate on the individual Fastaval, it is Alea that has the long-term plans and is constantly working to future-proof the festival.
Fastaval works like a big machine, consisting of many different organiser areas. Each area has one or more area managers with a number of organisers under them. In addition, each area has a main organiser contact person.
Fastaval's volunteer community consists of around 250 organisers in all age groups. From 15 years old to 60 years old, with an average age of around 31 years. This makes the volunteer community a diverse and inspiring environment to be a part of.
