Mega Civilization is a boardgame for 5–18 players, where you experience humanity’s earliest civilizations across a time span of roughly 8,000 years — from the Ice Age to the Iron Age. Each player leads a civilization, striving to spread their culture across a vast game board stretching from Europe through North Africa and all the way to India.
The game is not just about expanding your pieces across the map like in Small World or Risk, but about finding the right balance between communication, diplomacy, and trading resources with other players — similar to Catan. At the same time, players must think long-term and strategically when choosing between different technologies, which gradually advance their civilization, much like in Twilight Imperium.
Mega Civilization is well balanced and features a relatively gentle learning curve, with rules introduced gradually throughout the game. In addition, the game is designed to support players who fall behind, ensuring that everyone remains engaged and involved for the entire experience.

A typical game takes 10 – 12 hours on average, but longer if you also add small breaks and time for lunch and dinner.
